MareCast® offers optimum routing suggestions along with real-time weather forecast, sea and ice conditions. MareCast route suggestions will be the “best route” for the voyage keeping an optimal balance between schedules and fuel requirements. The weather view in MareCast enables the Crew to assess the current weather state along with forecasts, as well as observations and warnings; all in one view. The crew can modify the view according to their needs; hide or add features/parameters just by clicking the mouse.

Apart from the weather, MareCast’s machine learning and artificial intelligence model will help predicting a realistic estimated time of arrival, fuel consumption for better preparedness and operational efficiency for both the crew and management. The solution is developed keeping in mind the current constraints of route planning and hence we provide a complete automated system with seamless integration with the ECDIS. Weather Routing

Based on the vessel’s draft, this unique feature superimposes the intended passage plan using current and forecasted weather conditions presenting optimized routing solutions to the crew. Displayed suggestions are user defined either by ETA predictions or fuel consumption. Continuous tracking of real-time conditions while the vessel is en route enables efficient vessel scheduling and bunker conservation.

Multiple solutions for the planned passage are provided for the crew to make choice based on ETA requirements or fuel consumption.

Leg speed management

Voyage order changes requiring alterations to the passage plan are easily accomplished by introducing multiple voyage legs with varying speed and fuel consumptions. The resultant amended ETA predictions and total estimated fuel consumption is seamlessly computed.

Integration with ECDIS

There is seamless integration with the vessel’s ECDIS equipment via the Navigation Adaptor. This allows continuous 2-way data flow with MareCast for real-time monitoring of the vessel’s passage en route.
